Designed for the R2. Engineered for an EV.  The EV Sportline RMaxx Roof Rack was designed specifically for the Rivian R2—not adapted from a generic roof rack platform.  Every angle, contour, and transition of the RMaxx system follows the R2's distinctive body lines, making the rack look like a natural extension of the vehicle. While other racks simply bolt universal components and square crossbars onto the roof, RMaxx carries the Rivian design language from the vehicle into the rack itself.  And because the R2 is an EV, we designed around something traditional roof rack manufacturers often overlook: aerodynamics and range.

EV-Optimized Aerodynamic Crossbars: Putting a roof rack on an EV shouldn't mean ignoring efficiency.  Many aftermarket racks use generic square or rectangular crossbars that present a large, blunt surface to the airflow. That creates unnecessary drag, wind noise, and turbulence—all things that can negatively affect driving range.  RMaxx uses aerodynamically shaped crossbars engineered to move air cleanly over the rack, helping reduce the efficiency penalty associated with carrying equipment on the roof.

Two Crossbar Heights: RMaxx gives you two crossbar configurations depending on how you use your R2:

• Low-Profile Mode places the crossbars closer to the roof for the cleanest appearance and best possible aerodynamics.
• Standard-Height Mode provides additional clearance and versatility when your accessories or cargo require it.

It's another example of designing a roof rack specifically around an electric vehicle, where even small aerodynamic improvements can matter.

Integrated Light Bar Capability: The low-profile crossbar configuration creates a dedicated frontal aerodynamic space where an LED light bar can be directly mounted.  Instead of hanging a light bar awkwardly in front of or above the rack, RMaxx allows auxiliary lighting to integrate cleanly into the rack architecture while maintaining its streamlined profile.

Optional Aero Platform: Take the aerodynamic concept even further with the optional RMaxx Aero Platform.  Traditional platform racks leave multiple crossbars exposed to the airflow, creating repeated areas of turbulence across the roof. Our Aero Platform creates a smooth, continuous upper surface, helping airflow travel more cleanly across the rack while providing an exceptionally useful cargo platform.  The result is a cleaner appearance, less exposed crossbar turbulence, and a design focused on minimizing unnecessary range loss. 

Designed Around Rivian's Factory Aerodynamics: We didn't want to improve airflow over the rack only to interfere with aerodynamic engineering already built into the R2.  The RMaxx Aero Platform incorporates purpose-designed rear airflow ducts that integrate with the R2's factory rear roof aerodynamic ducts, allowing the vehicle's original aero features to continue doing their job.  It's a small detail—but exactly the kind of detail that separates an R2-specific rack from a generic platform bolted to an R2.

Built to Be Customized: RMaxx is designed as much for accessorization as it is for carrying cargo.  The system is loaded with integrated T-slots and accessory mounting points, providing extensive flexibility for adding adventure, utility, lighting, and cargo accessories.  Mount bikes. Add recovery equipment. Carry skis, boards, kayaks, camping equipment, cargo boxes, or overland gear. Install auxiliary lighting. Build the rack around the way you actually use your R2.
