Team 1EV was the very first to design and manufacture running boards and rock sliders for Rivian R1T and R1S. As the leader is this space, our work is never finished! We are pleased to introduce a new look and option for Rivian owners with the new Side Step Nerf Bars from Team 1EV. As usual, we place a strong emphasis on balancing proper design language, function, fitment, and quality for the Rivian application. Our goal was to offer a new look and retain the very popular 'side step' functionality.
This new design Side Step Nerf Bar positions the step section lower than our original running boards. This is great for the those who seek the easiest ingress / egress from the Rivian. Great for the smallest of children or adults who need low entrance ease, or even our furry pets!
Our fitment is bolt-on, by design. We don't like cutting, drilling, or modifying the base vehicle frame structure. Don't worry, we did not obstruct any vehicle jacking points. Continue to use your same jack pucks in the same factory location! To install these steps, the plastic underbody panels must be removed and not reinstalled. Bolts directly to Rivian frame structure (under outer plastic covers). Note, the factory plastic panels do NOT offer any underbody protection. The purpose of the panels is to improve the aerodynamics of the underside of the truck. Leaving the plastic panels off permanently is acceptable and will not risk damage to the truck.
