    Polestar 3 SnapPlate Instruction Guide

    Polestar 3 SnapPlate Installation Guide

Installation and adjustment instructions for the SnapPlate front license plate mount for the 2025–2026 Polestar 3.

    Installation

    Step 1

    Prepare the Screwdriver

Remove the T10/T25 bit from the included screwdriver handle and reinstall it with the larger T25 bit facing outward.

    Step 2 — Optional

    Choose Your Plate Height

SnapPlate ships with the license plate mount in the high position, which closely matches the factory license plate location. If you prefer the low position, complete the Plate Height Adjustment instructions below before continuing.

    Step 3

    Install Your License Plate

Attach your license plate to the SnapPlate mount using four of the included black or silver washer-head Torx security screws. Make sure both the SNAPPLATE logo on top of the base and the license plate are right side up.

    Step 4

    Open the SnapPlate

Push and hold the OPEN button located on the right side of the SnapPlate base.

    Step 5

    Position SnapPlate on the Grille

Align the opening in the SnapPlate base with the top center vertical bar in the Polestar 3 grille.

    Step 6

    Secure SnapPlate

Push the CLOSE button to secure SnapPlate to the grille. You should feel some resistance, but the button should not be difficult to push.

Important If the CLOSE button is unusually difficult to push, do not force it. Follow the Grille Depth Adjustment instructions below to adjust the fit.
    Step 7

    Confirm the Mount Is Locked

Check that the CLOSE button sits flush with the SnapPlate body. This confirms that SnapPlate is fully attached and the magnets are engaged.

    Step 8 — Optional

    Install the Anti-Theft Security Screw

For additional security, tighten the black anti-theft screw in the opening on the right side of the SnapPlate. It takes approximately eight full turns to lock or unlock and does not need to be completely removed.

    Step 9

    Remove Before Automatic Car Washes

Remove SnapPlate before using an automated car wash. Most touchless washes may be fine, but removing the mount beforehand is recommended.

    Plate Height Adjustment

The Polestar 3 SnapPlate can be configured in either a high or low license plate position. The high position is the standard configuration and closely mimics the factory plate location.

    Step 1

    Prepare the T25 Driver

Remove the T10/T25 bit from the screwdriver handle and reinstall it with the larger T25 bit facing outward.

    Step 2

    Remove the Plate Mount

Remove the four screws securing the license plate mount to the SnapPlate base.

    Low Position

Position the SnapPlate base with the SNAPPLATE logo facing upward. Orient the plate mount below the base and reinstall the four mounting screws.

    High Position

Position the SnapPlate base with the SNAPPLATE logo facing upward. Orient the plate mount above the base and reinstall the four mounting screws.

    Grille Depth Adjustment

If SnapPlate feels too tight or too loose when attaching it to the Polestar 3 grille, the latch depth can be adjusted for the proper fit.

    Step 1

    Prepare the T10 Driver

Remove the T10/T25 bit from the screwdriver handle and reinstall it with the smaller T10 bit facing outward.

    Step 2

    Locate the Adjustment Screw

Locate the T10 Torx adjustment screw in the center of the sliding latch.

    Step 3 — Loosen Fit

    Increase Latch Depth

Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise 1/2 turn to loosen the latches by approximately 0.25 mm. Pull the latch outward with your fingers to make sure it has extended, then test the fit on the grille. Repeat as needed, up to four 1/2-turn adjustments (two full turns).

Important Do not adjust the screw more than two full turns from its original position. If additional adjustment appears necessary, contact EV Sportline for assistance before proceeding.
    Step 4 — Tighten Fit

    Decrease Latch Depth

Turn the adjustment screw clockwise 1/2 turn to tighten the latches by approximately 0.25 mm. Test the fit on the grille and repeat in small increments as necessary.
