    Cadillac LYRIQ SnapPlate Installation Guide

    Installation and adjustment instructions for the SnapPlate front license plate mount for the 2023–2026 Cadillac LYRIQ.

    Installation

    Before You Begin The LYRIQ SnapPlate arrives adjusted for a relatively loose fit so it can be easily attached to the grille. Before installing your license plate, we recommend test fitting the SnapPlate and fine-tuning the fit using the Grille Depth Adjustment instructions below.
    Step 1

    Prepare the Screwdriver

    Remove the T10/T25 bit from the included screwdriver handle, if necessary, and reinstall it with the larger T25 bit facing outward.

    Step 2

    Install Your License Plate

    Attach your license plate to SnapPlate using four of the included T25 Torx security screws.

    Step 3

    Position SnapPlate on the Grille

    Orient SnapPlate so the "Tighten/Loosen" text is right-side up. Position the mount in the center of the LYRIQ grille using the highest grille opening.

    Step 4

    Engage the Mount

    Pull the sliders outward using your thumbs or index fingers, or gently push SnapPlate directly onto the grille. Rocking the mount slightly from side to side can help engage both sliders.

    Step 5

    Confirm SnapPlate Is Secure

    Verify that both side sliders are fully engaged. The flat portion of each slider should sit flush with the SnapPlate body.

    Check the Fit If SnapPlate cannot be securely attached or feels loose after installation, remove the license plate and follow the Grille Depth Adjustment procedure below before continuing.
    Step 6 — Optional

    Secure the Anti-Theft Screws

    For additional security, use the T25 screwdriver to tighten the anti-theft security screws located on both sides of SnapPlate.

    Security Screw Tip When removing SnapPlate, the anti-theft screws do not need to be completely removed. Simply loosen them until they sit flush with the SnapPlate body.
    Step 7

    Remove Before Automatic Car Washes

    Remove SnapPlate before entering an automated car wash. Most touchless washes may be fine, but removing SnapPlate beforehand is recommended.

    Grille Depth Adjustment

    The Cadillac LYRIQ SnapPlate allows the mounting depth to be fine-tuned for a secure fit on your vehicle's grille. We recommend completing this adjustment before permanently installing your license plate.

    Step 1

    Prepare the T25 Driver

    Remove the T10/T25 bit from the screwdriver handle, if necessary, and reinstall it with the larger T25 bit facing outward.

    Step 2

    Install SnapPlate for Test Fitting

    With the "Tighten/Loosen" text right-side up, attach SnapPlate to the center of the grille in the highest opening. Pull the sliders outward or gently push SnapPlate onto the grille until both sides engage.

    Step 3

    Confirm Both Sliders Are Engaged

    Verify that the sliders on both sides are completely engaged. The flat portion of each slider should sit flush with the SnapPlate body.

    Step 4

    Adjust the Fit

    Insert the T25 screwdriver into the "Tighten/Loosen" adjustment hole located in the center of the SnapPlate body. While gently moving SnapPlate to judge the fit, turn the screwdriver counterclockwise to tighten the mount against the grille.

    Do Not Overtighten Adjust only until SnapPlate feels securely attached. The tighter the adjustment, the more difficult SnapPlate will be to install and remove. Fine-tune the adjustment until you find the best balance between security and easy removal.
    Step 5

    Remove SnapPlate

    Pull both sliders outward using your thumbs or index fingers to release SnapPlate, then remove it from the grille.

    Step 6

    Repeat Until Properly Adjusted

    Reinstall and test SnapPlate as needed, repeating the adjustment process until you are satisfied with the fit. Once properly adjusted, continue with the normal installation procedure above.
