Chevrolet Blazer EV SnapPlate Installation Guide
Installation
Install Your License Plate
Attach your license plate to the SnapPlate mount using four of the included T25 Torx security screws.
Open the SnapPlate
Locate the OPEN button on the right side of the SnapPlate. Push and hold the OPEN button to release the mounting mechanism.
Position SnapPlate on the Grille
Align the center opening in the SnapPlate with the center vertical bar on the Blazer EV grille, then push SnapPlate into the bumper.
Secure SnapPlate
Push the CLOSE button on the left side until it sits flush with the SnapPlate body.
Confirm SnapPlate Is Secure
Double-check that the OPEN button is flush with the SnapPlate body. This confirms that SnapPlate is securely attached.
Install the Anti-Theft Security Screw
For additional security, use the included T25 security screwdriver to tighten the anti-theft security screw located on the right side of SnapPlate.
Grille Depth Adjustment
The Blazer EV SnapPlate includes two grille-depth adjustment screws. These allow you to fine-tune the mounting mechanism if SnapPlate feels too tight or too loose on the grille.
Prepare the T10 Driver
Remove the T10/T25 screwdriver bit from the handle and reinstall it with the smaller T10 bit facing outward.
Locate the Adjustment Screws
Locate the two grille-depth adjustment screws on the SnapPlate mounting mechanism. Both screws should be adjusted equally.
Increase the Grille Depth
Turn both adjustment screws counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Each 1/2-turn adjustment loosens the fit by approximately 0.25 mm. Test the fit on the vehicle and repeat as necessary.
Decrease the Grille Depth
Turn both adjustment screws clockwise 1/2 turn. Each 1/2-turn adjustment tightens the fit by approximately 0.25 mm. Test the fit and repeat as necessary.
