How to Install on a R1S
This product was designed to be installed in tandem with the RMAXX Running Boards for Rivian R1S Gen 1 and Gen 2. The product utilizes the factory trim rail and metal brackets attached to a select few 17mm battery tray bolts to provide a smooth undertray without needing to cut or trim any OEM paneling. These covers were not designed to withstand a heavy impact force as is the use case for the EVSportline slider or similar product.

Remove the three plastic panels from the passenger side using the T20 and T27 bit (Generation 2) or the T20 and 10mm socket (Generation 1). Additionally, remove the outermost T20 near the back of the front tire. Store the hardware in a safe location as the three T20 screws will be reinstalled with the Aero Covers.
While under the vehicle, install the 3 Running Board Brackets into their locations using the TP55 bit as called out by the RMAXX running board installation instructions. Leave the brackets loose.
Install the frame with associated hardware. With the brackets firmly fastened to the frame, torque the TP55 bolts to spec - 80 ft-lbs.
Undo the hardware fastening the brackets to the frame and remove the frame.
Aero Cover Installation
Install the TS Front Bracket under two of the 17 mm head headed bolts holding the battery tray to the frame near the front RMAXX Running Board bracket (Bracket #1). The center of the leading hole with the clip nut should be approximately 11.5” from the center of the Jack Puck hole in the bottom of the frame. Torque the bolts to 40 ft-lbs.
Note: Due to this bracket being universal, there are different holes for the Generation 1 Rivians and Generation 2 Rivians as there are underbody differences. Additionally, the Generation 2 Rivians will need to use the supplied spacer, washer, and bolt for mounting the front bracket as shown below.
Install the first TS Middle Bracket under two of the 17 mm head headed bolts holding the battery tray to the frame near the middle RMAXX Running Board bracket (Bracket #2) with the arrow pointed forward. The center of the leading hole with the clip nut on the first TS Middle bracket should be approximately 30.25” from the center of the leading hole with the clip nut on the TS Front bracket. Torque the bolts to 40 ft-lbs
Install the second TS Middle Bracket under two of the 17 mm head headed bolts holding the battery tray to the frame near the rear RMAXX Running Board bracket (Bracket #3) with the arrow pointed forward. Remove the triangular sheet metal locator if your vehicle has one, it will not be needed. The center of the leading hole with the clip nut on the second TS Middle bracket should be approximately 16.5” from the center of the leading hole with the clip nut on the first TS Middle bracket. Torque the bolts to 40 ft-lbs.
Note: Due to this bracket being universal, there are different holes for the Generation 1 Rivians and Generation 2 Rivians as there are underbody differences.
Install the TS Front Panel using the supplied button heads and the 3 T20 screws. Ensure that you have attached the lip of the Aero Cover over the OEM Rivian Trim rail. If you are having difficulties starting the T20 screws, reach inside via the Jack Puck hole to pull the plastic tab towards the Aero Cover. It is helpful to use a jack puck or equivalent to ensure that the panel is in the proper position. Tighten hardware until it is securely fastened. The plastic jack puck hole cover can be added at this point.

Install TS Panel B loosely using the supplied button head hardware. Ensure that you have attached the lip of the Aero Cover over the OEM Rivian Trim rail. Some gap between panels is OK. Tighten hardware until it is securely fastened.
Install S Panel C loosely using the supplied button head hardware. It is easiest to install this panel with a rotating motion to get the rear tabs into the OEM Trim tab locations in front of the rear wheels. Ensure that you have attached the lip of the Aero Cover over the OEM Rivian Trim rail and match the gap between panel A and B. Tighten hardware until it is securely fastened.
Install the S Panel C Jack Puck Plate as shown. Tighten hardware until it is securely fastened.
Install the RMAXX Running Board Frame as called out by the RMAXX running board installation instructions using the supplied hardware. Complete the same process on the Drivers Side.
