Rivian unveiled R1 Refresh on Thursday, June 6!

On the outside, the R1 receive mimimal updates such as a new wheel design, updated lights, and black trim.

Most of the Refresh updates focuses on the hardware efficiency and cost. A few examples of hardware changes are a new battery module with LFP battery cells, drive units with a more efficient packaging, and an ECU family with less components.

New features include Car Keys in Apple Wallet and some Google Pixel devices, a new subscription service called Connect+, and Apple Music with Dolby Atmos.
