Rivian's Chief Software Officer, Wassym Bensaid, announced on X a Rivian R1T and R1S Dual Performance Upgrade will soon be available. This upgrade can be receive via over-the-air software upgrade giving a Rivian more drive modes and better performance.
The highlights of this upgrade are:
0-60 in 3.4 seconds
- Increased Torque to 829 lb-ft
- Increased Horsepower to 665 hp
- New Rally, Sport, and Soft Sand Drive Modes
This upgrade will be included in Rivian's 2025.06 software release, but the cost has not been specified. This upgrade will be available for Dual-Motor Rivians with Standard+, Large, Large+, and Max battery packs.
