Rivian has announced that June 9, 2026, marks the official launch date for the highly anticipated R2 SUV. On this day, order invitations will begin rolling out to reservation holders, demo drives will open up at Rivian Spaces, and the first customer deliveries will officially begin arriving in driveways across the country. In preparation, customers can now visit Rivian’s website to pre-configure and save their desired vehicle options, including paint, interior styling, and wheel options.

Order invitations will be sent out in rolling batches, primarily determined by reservation timestamps and proximity to Rivian Service + Demo Centers to help streamline early deliveries. Priority considerations will also be given to current R1 owners and customers with expiring vehicle leases. The initial batch of orders will exclusively feature the top-tier R2 Performance with the Launch Package (which includes Autonomy+ features), while the R2 Premium and Standard trims are scheduled to arrive later in 2026 and 2027, respectively.
